A summer spent chasing sea butterflies
I have spent my recent days in NYC having memory flashbacks to my days spent on the rocks in Newfoundland. The process of perception in luscious color seemed to be the end result of my excessive dedication. If there was any one message I learned from the ever changing weather and sea, it was to be grateful for every moment, for every day was filled with change. I often logged in over 10 hours a day at the water's edge, regardless of rain and storm. It was a connection to a place that I did not expect, but I am very grateful for. The watercolor clarity that existed just below the surface of steel grey became a surprise to all. It is a part of the world where the sea has claimed a disproportional number of lives, yet my videos are filled with dreamlike color, fountains of life and depth of blue. A lot of ground to cover
Ok so I have been severely out of touch, but I have a great excuse...I am now in NYC. Since my departure from Newfoundland, I have been in Montreal, Toronto, Zurich and now here. A lot of ground to cover and a lot of thoughts that need to be blogged. I am back and hopefully stronger for the experience. So no photos today... lots of art to see...
